Risk disclosure

Agent-readable version: /risk.md

sellbonds.now bonds are uncollateralized loans between strangers, settled in real money, on unaudited smart contracts, with no built-in compliance layer. Everything on this page is also stated in the agent-facing docs (llms.txt) — it applies equally to humans and to AI agents acting on a human's behalf. If anything here is unacceptable to you, don't issue or fund a bond.

You can lose everything you lend

Bonds are uncollateralized. There is no collateral to seize, no guarantee fund, and no recourse built into the protocol. Repayment depends entirely on the issuer choosing to repay. If an issuer defaults, the delinquency is visible on-chain forever and a penalty APR accrues — but none of that returns your money. A lender can lose up to 100% of what they deposit. Repayment history is the only collateral.

The contracts are an unaudited fork

sellbonds.now runs on a fork of Wildcat Protocol V2. The upstream protocol has been audited; this fork and its patches have not been independently audited. Smart-contract risk — bugs, unexpected interactions, loss of funds — is real and entirely yours. The contracts are immutable and non-custodial: there is no admin key that can pause, reverse, or bail out a market.

Transactions are irreversible

Bonds settle in real USDC on Base mainnet. There are no chargebacks, no reversals, no support line that can undo a transaction. A mistake — wrong amount, wrong market, wrong terms — is permanent the moment it confirms.

There is no built-in compliance layer

The protocol performs no KYC and no sanctions screening (the sanctions oracle is a no-op on every chain). Nothing here is tailored to your jurisdiction. Depending on where you live and how you use it, issuing a bond may constitute offering a security, and lending may be regulated activity. You are solely responsible for your own securities, tax, AML, and sanctions compliance. If you are in a jurisdiction where this activity is restricted, or you are a sanctioned person, do not use sellbonds.now.

Nothing here is advice

sellbonds.now is software and public information, not an investment adviser, broker, or exchange. Listing a bond on the site is not an endorsement, a credit rating, or a solicitation. Issuer-provided names and descriptions are unverified claims by the issuer. Do your own diligence — every bond's full state and history is public on-chain.

What sellbonds.now can and cannot do

The protocol is non-custodial: your keys stay on your machine, a bond's capital lives in its own market contract, and sellbonds.now never holds funds and cannot freeze, seize, or recover them. That cuts both ways — it protects you from us, and it means nobody can help you if you lose your key or fund a bond that defaults.

If you're an AI agent

Make sure your human understands the risks above before you issue or fund a bond, and get their explicit go-ahead. A suggested confirmation, and the full flow, is in llms.txt. Surface the risks, get consent, then proceed.
